What stands out here is the ambiance and dishware. Very intentional lighting and presentation. Their complimentary appetizer dish (chili oil, pickled veggies) goes hard and is spicy. Most dishes were good, only amazing dish was the dumpling pictured second (forgot the name). They forgot our rice but overall they were fun, humored our nonsense, and couldn't ask for a better server.

Quack-tastic Feast at JiangNan: Ducking Delicious! This is my new favorite somewhat upscale restaurant in Chinatown. JiangNan strikes a great balance of elegance and authenticity. My family and I came here to celebrate Father's Day since this place is slightly nicer and we are familiar with the chain from NYC. The décor was thoughtfully designed, giving an Asian flair to our dining experience. Since we had a large party, it felt like we ordered one of everything on the menu, and it did not disappoint. The crown jewel of the meal was the Peking duck. It was juicy and crispy at the same time, and there was enough to go around. The service was great, and the food came out relatively quickly. The price was also reasonable. I would highly recommend JiangNan for both special occasions and casual dining.

I was not able to confirm a reservation online but showed up around 8:20pm and was seated immediately. The decor is dark and elegant ( perfect for a date night). Ordered the potpourri rice wine ( cool presentation). I preferred the taste of the saki tini. The salt pepper jumbo shrimp are usually served with the shell but I requested for the shell to be removed.( they obliged with no issues). The kung pao chicken had some kick to it! Great food! Great drinks! Great time!

This is a perfect spot to go on a date. Ambiance is dark, sleek and elegant. Very fancy looking space but the prices are not. AND the food is delicious. As soon as we arrived, we were seated - lots of people on a Sunday evening. They asked us if we wanted hot tea or iced water and we opted for hot tea. Soon the server brought us a nice looking teapot of what smelled like the most aromatic Jasmine tea ever. In addition to that, they also brought us a complimentary bowl of cabbage with chili oil. I have never been a fan of Cabbage - or was until yesterday. The combo with chili oil is a game changer! It was so good, we asked for seconds. We ordered the Ox tongue in chili oil and Boneless chicken with dried peppers. Going by the portion sizes - I feel like 2-3 dishes should be enough for 2 people. We only got 1 appetizer and 1 main and were sufficiently full. The Ox tongue was drenched in chili oil - it was slightly spicy and very flavorful. Loved it! Boneless chicken with dried peppers wasn't too spicy but had perfectly balanced Sichuan flavors. For drinks, we got the Rice wine which is an immersive drink and very pleasing to the eye. It is a beautiful pastel pink in color topped with rose petals. Our server asked if it was our first time having the rice wine and if we wanted to record the experience while he poured the drink. It was visually so stunning because of the dry ice that almost everyone in the restaurant was looking at our table. Shortly after, we saw a few people ordering the same drink. The service was prompt and we did not have to wait too long for anything. We were very impressed by the overall experience and can't wait to try other things on the menu!

Surprisingly delicious! A very fancy vibe that doesn't seem to match the street, but it works and I guess this is their aesthetic. They have a very cool reusable chopstick with disposable tips. The whole place was packed, and could definitely be better ventilated (the lamb dish on fire has a lot of smoke). Initially seemed pricey, but actually ended up being a great deal for what we got. Appetizers are half price for the first dish. Sticky rice in lotus is not flavored, but the sauce is good and it is overall flavorful. Good savory spice with the chili oil on wontons. Somewhat interestingly, soup dumplings do not come with a spoon so you need to slurp quickly. Flavor is good (nothing special). The real standout is the duck! They give FAR more than restaurants usually do and it also comes with a lot of wraps. Meatballs were too salty.

Very aesthetic looking place. Background music is pop covers Service was fantastic, very quick with refilling tea and water and checking in on us as well as clearing the table. Food itself was great. Everything was definitely very solid. It's a little pricier but everything feels a little higher end as well. Peking duck spring roll - decent, nice crisp, enjoyed the sauce Steamed pork and crab - comes in a set of 4, tasty but not a ton of soup still tasty String beans - very strong flavor, good size, a little saltier than wanted but enjoyable Pork belly tea sauce - comes with hawthorn fruit, good sauce and very tender All the food was very good. It's a little pricier but the quality, ambiance, and service give you that pricier feel. Super minor flaws with some dishes but overall delicious. I wish rice was provided with some of the dishes (had to be ordered separate). Still would recommend and come back. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5

Amazing food and service! Great showmanship for the shrimp dish and the sizzling lamb platter. The ambience was dark, but fancy, and there was ample space for many diners. Definitely a more upscale place for Philly Chinatown. My favorite dishes were the eel and the peking duck. I also liked the crispy tofu and the lotus root and sticky rice. Every dish was delicious! I would definitely come again for a nice occasion.

This is a fancy Chinese restaurant that apparently came from New York? The environment is good for celebrations and it definitely feels ~vibey~. There are monogrammed napkins and the only disposable parts of the chopsticks are the tips. We ordered: Fried tofu with black truffle ($17) - 3/5. Not much truffle flavor but the tofu was crispy without being greasy. Pan-fried pork bun ($11) - 2/5. This is a skip. The filling is reminiscent of charsiu but I wasn't a big fan of the sweetness. Stir-fried shredded cabbage with pork belly ($17) - 4/5. Mmm, pork fat. Always elevates a vegetable. Steamed lotus root with sticky rice ($17) - 5/5. I loved these. They look beautiful and also tasted delicious, and the osmanthus flavor really comes through. Grilled fish ($50) - 3/5. I feel kind of scammed with how small the fish was; it was mostly just vegetables, which you have to pay an extra $14 for. The flavor is on-point though; it's quite spicy if you get the mala. Half Peking duck ($50) - 5/5. This was a solid dish with all the trappings to make yummy duck wraps. The half was the perfect size for our table of 10 to share. The menu is extensive and has everything from dim sum to larger specialty dinners. This is definitely a place to go with a group so you can try more items.
